6 months!!!

I'm starting to run out of things to say. Does anyone actually read this? I mean it's obvious why you're here.- Isaac pictures. Yes yes, 'fess up. You just like us for our baby...
Just kidding.
Well, if the title didn't give it away, Isaac is 6 months. The 19lb wonder is now sitting up on his own. He wants to crawl pretty bad though...maybe in the next post or two? We're introducing him to some foods, the incredibly appetizing rice cereal and baby food jar variety. It's taking a considerable amount of long suffering and patience... especially after his great-grandma introduced him to ice cream... nothing tastes as good as that! How are we supposed to compete?
Speaking of grandmas...Isaac got to meet his great-great grandma Jean!. That's right. GreatX2. We took a FIVE generation picture with her at her birthday party in Vernal.
Please note this was a family event - meaning that we were looking at six different cameras for one picture...Isaac got the right idea...DON'T LOOK AT ANY OF THEM!
The Dan Bartlett Clan that was there. (Also note that Isaac was beginning to pull my hair. There were some...interesting...pictures taken seconds after this one)

So...I'm not sure if I'm running out of commentary or if I'm just straight up lazy... I'm just gonna post the pictures and maybe say something significant about them. (Some people are just so good at this blog thing...I'm doing this under duress.)
He likes to help me with the laundry...or slow me down...it's a toss up.

"Mom...make a blog post...my public is waiting for me..."

Now that we are introducing foods to him we must also teach him what is not food...

He was helping clean all the bedding.

 He's pretty thrilled about it.

His variation on Derek Zoolander's blue steel.

 Haha, just kidding...

...it's blue magnum.

 Striking a pose at breakfast.

This boy is a Georgia boy. He loves his peaches!

He is also acquiring a taste for legitimate BBQ...

 ...or yellow cups.

Kennedy was having fun dressing him up.

Love this boy.

I can't believe how blessed we are. This kid is almost always smiling. He's the center of our little world right now, if you couldn't tell. I look at that boy and I feel like I'm unstoppable.

5 months!

Isaac is 5 months old! To celebrate his fifth month Isaac decided to start rolling over, and he hasn't stopped since. If I turn my back for two seconds he's already rolled over again...We even caught one of his first few roll overs on video (you can hear how excited we are on the video).

He has been so much fun to play with too. He's pretty easy to make giggle.

He also loves peak-a-boo.

We were recently at a wedding for my cousin, and while we were waiting for the ceremony to begin, I caught Isaac's Great-Grandpa Bartlett trying to play with him...

This is us in the airport back over Christmas break

Another cute one I found from the plane

 He likes to grab lips...

Little bug!

We've got more great news! Adam got a partial scholarship from BYU Law! We were already ecstatic that he got accepted but this definitely sweetened the deal! Adam has been starting to have dreams of Law & Order... haha, we'll see. We're still waiting to hear back on my grad program...so keep your fingers crossed!

4 months!!!

In case you haven't heard already...Adam got into BYU Law!!!
YAAAAAY!
3 more years in P-town! (No sarcasm there, we're super excited we're staying.) But on to the star of the show...

Isaac has been pretty busy too, growing and all. He is 18lbs now, which, according to the doc, is the size of a 9 month old. (No wonder my arms are sore!) He has learned to do a lot of things...

He likes to play with his toes.

Stand up by the couch.

Chew on his fingers.

Chew on his keys.

Chew on our fingers...

...and our arms.

He likes to rub his daddy's scruff.

And goof off with Uncle Dean.

He's been hanging out with Aunt Laura a lot more...

...which makes him very happy.

We took him to the nickle arcade and won him a mustache.

Most recently he's started doing this pouty lip when he's sad... and it looks like this...
(it's still cute...makes it hard to take him seriously)

He's learned to blow raspberries (which we tried to capture in this video...he sorta' does it)

Holidays! (3 1/2 months)

Before I had Isaac whenever I heard parents complain about holiday travel I was like "oh boo hoo, sad story" (maybe a tad more sympathetic...) Holy cow did that come back to bite me in the butt! I cannot make a full account of these things but it sufficeth me to say that we experienced the joys (not) of standby and did experience many miracles at the hands of a gate agent that was swooned by Isaac.
In other news - Adam got his LSAT back!!! And he made his goal! After a year of studying we can finally say audios to that monster! Now we'll just have our fingers crossed as we wait for letters of acceptance to come in.
We had our first session of studio family photos and they turned out pretty great. Isaac is a big flirt, so he was giving the photographer big smiles. We also had Isaac's 100 day old party. It's a Korean tradition to throw a big party when a baby turns 100 days old (that's why he has the traditional clothes on in some pictures).
Speaking of family photos - One of my best friends is a photography student up here at the Y and she is amazing. (She did our engagements) When I told her I was going into the hospital to have the baby she was right there by my side listening to me make crazy drug induced babble (which she is not allowed to repeat). She also came right after Isaac was born and took some beautiful pictures. I don't think some of the family has seen these pictures, so I decided to post them up too.

And now some pictures...
Just showing off those fine motor skills.

Then top it off with some baby push ups.

 Just holding our bug

 And now a couple shot

Adam and Isaac

 Me and Isaac

He likes to stick out his tongue...

...and hold his hands together...like he's plotting

 Cutie

"Oh you know, just planning on taking over the world"

 My favorite

All together

First day Grandpa Bartlett got to see him

Uncle Kimball laughing with Isaac (back in Nov. before he entered the MTC)

Isaac showing off his 100-day old outfit (a little big... and a little pink...but it's a Korean thing)

 The whole (little) family

Showing off just the hat

Trying very hard to suck his thumb in over-sized sleeves.

 Some time with Uncle Derek

Now some quality photography
Oh the flashbacks that come with this picture...

Once Chelsea came we let Adam have a little break. Watching me go through contractions was really hard on him.

I won't get mushy, but I'm really glad I've got Adam to go through all that with

We were all very tired...

I can't believe how big he is now! Isaac is just such a wonderful happy boy. You can see the laughter in his eyes. There's this line in a movie Adam loves where the father is describing his baby boy and he says "He doesn't say much, but we know he's smart. He's always got his eyes open, he's always watching us. Sometimes you can look at him and you just know he's learning something new. It's like witnessing a miracle." I think of that line a lot with Isaac.
